RESEARCH ETHICS

Rakhi

Research ethics serves as a critical framework that guides the conduct of scientific inquiry, ensuring integrity, responsibility, and respect. This article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the various dimensions of research ethics. It begins by establishing the foundations of research ethics, including principles such as respect for human dignity, scientific integrity, and beneficence/non-maleficence. Ethical considerations are then explored, including informed consent, privacy and confidentiality, data management and ownership, conflict of interest, and respect for diversity and inclusion. Challenges and emerging issues in research ethics are addressed, including data privacy and security concerns in the era of big data, obtaining informed consent in digital environments, and ethical implications of artificial intelligence (AI) research.
